Description

Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls are a crispy, golden dessert filled with sweet, cinnamon-spiced peaches and creamy cream cheese. A fun twist on the classic peach cobbler, these bite-sized treats are fried to perfection and dusted with powdered sugar for an irresistible treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Prepare the peach filling: In a medium bowl, combine the chopped peaches, granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Stir until the mixture is well-combined and the peaches are evenly coated.
  • Make the cream cheese filling: In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Assemble the egg rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, and spoon a small amount of the cream cheese mixture near the center. Top with a spoonful of the peach filling. Carefully fold in the sides of the wrapper and roll tightly to seal.
  • Fry the egg rolls: Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully lower the egg rolls into the oil, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Take them out of the oil and let them drain on paper towels.
  • Serve: Allow the egg rolls to cool for a minute, then dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy your crispy, delicious peach cobbler egg rolls!

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a dash of nutmeg or a pinch of ginger to the peach filling.
  • If you prefer a lighter option, try baking the egg rolls at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes instead of frying.
  • You can substitute the cream cheese filling with mascarpone or ricotta for a different taste.
